Carers Forum

Caring for your loved ones can be difficult.

One in 8 people in the UK are carers - so remember that you are not alone.

The Enable Carers Forum is here to give the carers of our service users expert support and to answer any questions. Anyone who attends will benefit from sharing their experiences and learning from the experiences of other members.

What is the Enable Carers Forum for?

The Forum provides members with a voice and is led by carers for regular exchanges of information with others who are in similar situations. For example, we might discuss ways that members could support one another or support new parent carers.

Senior staff from Enable also attend meetings to provide updates about services and to answer any questions about local and national issues which could affect carers and the services they use.

How does it work?

We have an elected chair. The Forum meets every two months and meetings last for two hours, with refreshments provided. We can provide transport if you are unable to easily get to meetings.

All service user carers are very welcome to join the group.
