Volunteering
We welcome volunteers with a range of skills
We offer volunteering opportunities for anyone wishing to gain experience working with adults with a learning difficulty, older people or individuals with a disability.
Enable is a great place to work - we are the largest independent service provider for people with learning difficulties in the region. We deliver housing, care and support, and day services so that service users can lead a more fulfilling and independent life.
What can volunteers do?
We welcome the assistance of volunteers to work in our offices, with an individual or on specific projects, and we will support them as much as we can. The contribution of volunteers depends on their skills, abilities and experience.
Volunteers can, for example, provide informal support, friendship, advocacy, help developing social contacts, and help service users to make use of local community resources.
I want to volunteer. What’s next?
All potential volunteers will need to complete a Volunteer Application form and will also be asked to provide character references. All potential volunteers will have an informal interview and will be subject to a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
