Enable Choir
The choir started in February 2014 when the Enable Forum held an open evening for people who wanted to try out singing in a group.
The evening was a great success and the Enable Choir was born.
The group arranged to meet again, and Steve Haywood, a Matlock-based singer and performer, agreed to lead the choir. It now has 14 members who meet up and rehearse about every 6 weeks.
The choir had its first performance at an Enable service user event in September 2014, and has been asked by Derbyshire County Council to perform at County Hall in a Learning Disability Task Force event.
